Release Day Giveaway

The day is finally here. Goldie And Her Bears have come out to play!

*dances*

Take one very human girl. Add three bear shifters and one BDSM club. Shake well. What do you get? Lots of delicious fun.

When Goldie Lockwood receives an explicit note, signed by none other than the man she fell head over clit in lust with on first sight, there is only one thing she can do – obey.  After all she is dying to find out what goes on behind closed doors at the exclusive BDSM club.
Having his Goldilocks pounced on by his brother and sister had not been in Jason Stanhope's plan, even if the little human's responsiveness blows the triplets away. Porridge, chairs, beds, she tries them all.
But, can she be the sweet sub they need? Or will Goldilocks live up to her name and run away screaming?

I had such fun writing this story. I hope you have as much fun reading it :-)

To celebrate the occasion, I'm giving away a copy to one random commenter. Just tell me what your favourite nursery rhyme or fairytale is and why.

Goldilocks and the three bears has always been a favourite bed time story in this house. Unfortunately I can't  read it any more without sniggering.

*whoops*

I leave you with a scorching excerpt....

"You're not meant to fall asleep with one this size, baby, though I sure as fuck appreciate the sentiment."
The unexpected endearment delivered in his hushed, almost reverent tones settled straight in her silly heart. He was pleased with her, and she basked in that knowledge as she listened to the sounds of him moving away. She heard water running and moments later, the bed dipped, and she moaned again when he placed a hot washcloth on her anus. The warmth soothed away the last of the sting, and she relaxed.
That is until she felt the featherlight touch of something curling around her breasts. She gasped at the sensation when Jason swirled the strands around her nipples. He chuckled in response to them hardening, and Goldie sucked in her tummy when he trailed the touches lower along her abdomen and into her already drenched folds.
"You're so wet already, baby, my flogger is soaked in your cream. Taste yourself for me."
The strings of wet material touched Goldie's lips, and her hips bucked when Jason pushed two fingers into her core and massaged her G-spot mercilessly. Goldie moaned long and hard, and the leather strings invaded her mouth. Jason's growled whisper in her ear urged her to comply, and she sucked the wet strands, tasting herself mixed in with the leather.
"That's it, and remember no coming until I tell you. Your orgasms belong to me." His possessiveness ramped her arousal up another notch. He finger-fucked her with merciless precision and she could feel herself climbing already. God, she was so close. Her head thrashed on the bed, and she bit into the strands in her mouth with a long, drawn-out groan. He removed his fingers and the flogger and claimed her mouth in a kiss that was both tender and thorough. One hand pinched her nipple, the sweet pain soothed by another hot mouth, as the bed dipped, and Goldie froze for an instant.
"I told you I'd be back to fuck that sweet ass." Jacob's words were muffled as he continued his assault on her breasts. Jason's kiss turned passionate and helpless to resist; she retaliated by wrapping her tongue round his. He groaned, and his cock nudged her naked thigh. He broke the kiss, sliding his full lips across her jaw to her ears.
"Give us a safe word, now, Goldie before we take this further. I need to know I haven't read this all wrong." He bit her ear, and she moved her head into his touch with another moan. She hardly recognized the needy sounds coming out of her mouth as she tried to reply.
"What—no—I mean—no. Don't stop." The air felt cool on her heated flesh as both men withdrew immediately, and Goldie panicked. They couldn't leave her like this. She was going to go up in flames if they didn't finish what they started. "Please—Jason."
She flinched as the flogger hit her thigh and corrected herself immediately. "Please—Sir—don't stop."
Another light swat with the flogger hit her on the other leg. Like a swarm of little bee stings, the sensation spread, and she squirmed when her clit contracted in response, and more of her juices ran down her leg.
"Fuck, Jase, I need to taste her." Jacob's voice had dropped an octave, and Goldie's stomach dropped right with it.
The bed dipped by her head, and Jason cupped her chin and removed her blindfold. She blinked in the sudden light and couldn't help the groan once her eyes adjusted. Both men were naked, and the muted lighting hid nothing of their glorious physique. At the hungry way Jacob looked at her exposed pussy, more wetness seeped out of her, and he groaned, cupping his huge erection and stroking his long shaft. The drop of precum on his thick tip glistened, and he pumped faster, his gaze not once leaving her pussy.
"Safe word, now, Goldie, or I swear I untie you and take you home right now, leaving us all aching." Jason commanded from his position at the top of the bed. Goldie turned her head to look at him. The move brought her mouth right next to the glistening tip of his erection, and she licked the drop of moisture away. His very essence exploded on her tongue, his cock jerked upward.
"Jesus, Goldie, safe word." He framed her head with his hands, and the tenderness she saw warring with lust and ruthless determination in his once again golden eyes blew her away.
"Teddy."
He blinked, and Jacob laughed from his position at the bottom of the bed.
"Oh you have no idea how perfect that is, sub."

Cover Reveal

Look what I've got!

I give you Marco and Elise from book two of the Giovanni Clan.

I screeched in delight and scared the baby, when I opened my e-mail to find this cover. It sums up the feeling of this story perfectly.

*swoons*

Here is the unedited blurb:

Marco Giovanni has shut off his emotions, following a messy divorce. His small daughter and his chain of bakeries are all he needs in his life. The string of nannies are an unfortunate necessity he could well do without. So why does his body have to remember its needs now with the latest and most unsuitable nanny ever?

Elise has always been the responsible one, so when she receives yet another SOS phone call from her wayward twin, she does the only thing she can do, she steps into her shoes. Having to go back to nannying is hard enough, the unexpected attraction to her arrogant employer impossible to deal with. Especially when she is forced to agree to a marriage of his convenience to pay off the debt her twin accrued.

In a marriage based on blackmail can passion turn into love, or will secrets and lies destroy all?

I can't wait to start edits!

I leave you with a little unedited sneak of their wedding night - Enjoy ;-)

Elise froze at the soft knock on the door. Marco's low voice wrapped itself around her senses and shivers went down her spine. She had expected him to be angry but instead his voice was a very low seductive growl.
"Open up, pasticcino, a husband could die out here waiting for his wife."
Oh bloody hell. She would have to do this sooner or later. He might be amenable now but Elise had no doubt he would break the door down if he had to. He was a man used to getting what he wanted and for some inexplicable reason he wanted her. She took one last look at herself in the bathroom mirror and opened the door.
Marco was casually leaning against the doorframe, a flute of champagne in one hand, his gaze intense as he slowly looked her up and down. He'd disposed of his jacket and tie, his shirt buttons undone enough for her to see his chest hair, and Elise hastily looked away.
"Here, pasticcino, you look as though you could do with this."
Elise grabbed the flute of him downing the whole thing in one go. Maybe if she had enough of these, this would be easier. One large hand went under her chin whilst the other took the champagne flute of her, casually throwing it in the direction of the settee.
"Why so nervous, pasticcino?"
Elise looked at him, her heart hammering in her chest so fast, she felt faint.
"I'm not nervous."
"Liar," was the whispered response as his gaze rested on the rapid pulse at her throat. He moved his hand from her chin slowly down her neck skimming her collar bone. With the lightest of touches he stroked downwards, barely touching her nipples, suddenly aching for his touch. He moved his hand towards her bare back and pulled her in closer. She was so close to him now the fierce heat of his body infused hers. His own unique scent surrounded her and called her home.
He murmured something in Italian as his mouth retraced the path his hand had blazed on her skin moments before. When he slowly turned her around, his erection jutting into her ass, brought an answering need deep inside Elise's core. He trailed kisses up her spine towards the base of her neck and suckled at the sensitive skin there. Elise couldn't help the needful whimper. She felt Marco's smile through his kisses as he paid homage to her neck whilst slowly nudging her towards the bedroom.
The size of that huge four poster bed gave Elise renewed palpitations and she tried in vain to lock her knees to stop him from moving her forward. Marco spun her back round. His blue eyes scanned her face, his smile wicked, as he simply picked her up and covered the last few remaining steps with ease whilst capturing her shriek with his mouth. Elise clung to his shoulders, dimly aware of being lowered on the softest bed she had ever sat on before his tongue found hers and every stroke send sparks along her nerve endings, until she couldn't help but kiss him back. The very male groan spurred her on and her tentative hands explored inside his open shirt, surprised to find his nipples as erect as hers. When her hand slipped lower along his incredibly tight abs his own hand stopped her with a growled Italian curse. He shoved her none too gently down onto the bed with a wicked grin. He captured both of her wrists in one hand above her head, his long body holding her captive, his gaze scorching her, as he shook his head. "No hands!"
Before she could blink he produced a pair of purple, fluffy handcuffs out of nowhere and moved her further up the bed. He cuffed her to the four poster bed before she even grasped his intention.
Fear slammed into her as she desperately tried to free her hands but his own stilled her. He raised his head and smiled at her.
"Shhh, trust me pasticcino. I won't hurt you."

Book Spot Light - Red Grow the Roses by Janine Ashbless

Red Grow the Roses by Janine Ashbless

Blurb:

“Maybe you’ll be lucky. Maybe he’s not human. He’ll take you in his arms and you’ll feel his strength – a strength that makes it impossible to fight him. But you’ve already lost the will to resist, that moment he looked into your eyes and showed you all his hunger and his promise. You knew then. You knew that this is what you are for – what we are all for – with our warm beating hearts and our aching sexual needs.

We are for them.”

There are six vampires in the city. Ageless, terrifyingly beautiful and always hungry – not just for blood but for the other pleasures the human body offers. Sadistic chanteuse Estelle; feckless Ben; Roisin, the mirror-ghost; Wakefield, haunted by his own damnation; Naylor, the most feral of them all.
And Reynauld is the Good Shepherd, the one who holds them all in check. But his grip on his own humanity is fading, and when Wakefield accidentally kills a woman and Naylor gets the blame, a power-struggle erupts between the city’s immortal undead.
Red Grow the Roses tells of bloodlust and sexual desire; for vampires the two are indistinguishable. These transgressive, startling stories draw the reader down the darkest and most seductive paths of pleasure – to where the monsters are waiting.

Excerpt
‘I don’t feed from humans,’ Wakefield hissed, trembling.
‘That’s what I heard. I just find it hard to believe.’ Rolling onto her knees, she reached for the discarded rose he’d cut for her. ‘Nasty sharp thorns these things have got,’ she mused, laying the stem across her bare breasts. With a twitch she drew it down, scoring her flesh with half-a-dozen needle-pointed thorns, shuddering as the pain burned through her. Pin-points of blood rose on her pale skin and swelled, a string of rubies decorating the white flesh and the roseate nipples. ‘Ah,’ she groaned.
Robert Wakefield seemed to grow taller; his hard-on bulged. She could taste the coppery tang of her victory.
‘Tell me; have you ever whipped a girl with your roses, Mr Wakefield?’ Lilla began to crawl backwards from him on hands and knees, arse swaying, breasts wobbling. ‘Maybe one of your servants? The parlour maid perhaps? You ever taken a bunch of roses and whipped their tits?’ She put on a country accent for her next words, her voice suddenly breathlessly innocent but at the same time teasing: ‘Oh Mr Wakefield, you wouldn’t be thinking of doing that to a poor innocent girl? I couldn’t bear that sir – it’ll hurt something cruel. You wouldn’t want to ruin a helpless maid, would you, sir? You wouldn’t want that on your conscience?’
Inhumanly swift, he lunged and grabbed the front of her bodice and yanked her up to slam her against one of the wrought-iron pillars. Eagerly Lilla extended her hands over her head, thrusting her breasts out so that he might feed. But he didn’t, not right away. He looked down at her with a face hollow with hunger, and then he took hold of her long drawers at the waist and snapped the drawstring with one tug of his wrists. He tore the damp, clinging cotton from her thighs to bare her sex, and then he tied her wrists with the twisted strips and secured her to a ornamental bracket high on the pillar, hauling her up onto her toes. She said nothing, words robbed from her by anticipation, lips parted about her shallow breaths.
His face mask-like, his eyes burning, he plunged his cold fingers between her thighs and up inside her, breaching the gates of her sex to take the measure of her heat, the slick of juices, the yielding sucking flex of her tight hole. Lilla writhed on his hand, twisting helplessly with each thrust of his wrist, and he watched her breasts jiggle and bounce, their pink points dewed in red. His teeth were so extended now that his upper lip did not hide them.
‘Oh please,’ she gasped. ‘Please – bite me!’

Hmm, sounds like a hot read!

Six Sentence Sunday

Be warned my six this week are very hot and from my Naughty Nursery Rhyme Goldie And Her Bears, which releases on Friday.

*dances*

"I want you, inside me, only you, now—please." The words delivered in between gasps of much needed air had Jason step back with a satisfied smile. At a nod from his brother, Jacob took over holding her arms. He smiled at her before he too kissed her and with his free hand explored her pussy folds. A sharp stab of desire shot through her when he inserted one finger slick with her juices inside her anus.
"I'll so enjoy fucking your pretty ass soon."

Till next week :-)

Do check out the other talented authors participating here.

Sleep is for wimps

What else is new, I hear you say, after all I do state this in my bio, but this week has really pushed the envelope on the no sleep issue.

Little Budda has now not been well for three weeks. He's teething badly - we have three very sharp little teeth - and he is full of a cold and has the amazing, non shifting conjunctivitis. I am a firm believer in the powers of breastmilk for curing all, but I admitted defeat this week and took him to the docs. He is on double the usual dose of eye drops - yes it really is that bad - and still the conjunctivitis stays.

*sigh*

The two pronged attack of copious eye bathing in breastmilk, and drops seems to be working ever so slowly. I think. Put it this way, it only took two swipes this morning to help him open his eyes, compared to several minute's worth. Big brother too now has red eye, but thankfully after just twenty four hours of boobie juice drops, his eyes look much better.

*phew*

Budda, however, well. Add to that the whole teething, screaming in pain, biting mummy issues and yeah - sleep? What's that exactly?

*mutters to herself this too will pass*

In writing news it has been a good week though!

I'm in the middle of my blog tour with Lure Of Forever and I'm running a contest. Comment on any of my stops for an entry to win one of three copies I'm giving away. Comments have been a bit thin on the ground really, so check those posts out, otherwise I might get paranoid and think nobody loves me!
Us creative types need our ego's stroked, dontcha  know.

*grins*

Today's stop is here.

If you're wondering whether my brooding vamp is worth your time to comment check out the reviews here and here.

You can find all the stops of my blog tour here. Do stop by and say "Hi". I'm flitting all over the place. Shame we don't get air miles for virtual travel ;-)

The other fantastic news is that I signed a contract for Too Cold To Love, book Two of the Giovanni Clan series. If you liked my sexy firefighter Alex in Too Hot To Handle, then you'll love his cousin Marco. He's brooding and .... very inventive in the bedroom.

*giggles*

I am now stalking my inbox for cover art. Can't wait to see what the talented cover artists at Evernight will come up with.

And last but by no means least Virgins Behaving Badly is a bestseller on ARe and Bookstrand.

*even bigger grin*

So, there you have it, that's been my week. No wonder I'm so relieved it's Friday. Though I don't reckon I will get that much sleep over the weekend either. I have two tiger shifters prowling around in my head, growling their story at me. Last time that much growling was going on Goldie And Her Bears happened! Which by the way, is scheduled for release in a weeks time!

*squee*

Have a great weekend, folks! xx

Interview with London St. James

Please give a warm welcome to my fellow Evernight Author London Saint James with her newest release Eternal.

Romance writer Winter Wells has found her new life with Hollywood Hottie, Cayden Cain, a blessing and a curse.  He is the blessing.  His career is the curse.  Involved in an unprecedented web of strange events, and wound in a string of lies about to break with devastating consequences, Winter must battle ghosts from her past that threaten to harm Cayden.  Faced with a choice she always knew would be inevitable, can the fairy tale of their relationship beat out the odds of their reality and really come true?

*pulls out chair for London*

Good to have you here, make yourself at home J

Q. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

Thanks so much for having me, Doris! *Wiggles in chair*  Well what can I say about myself?  Hmm… okay, here it goes.  I started writing seriously a couple of years ago.  I have always scribbled down stories, even as a child.  Trust me when I say being a child with a big imagination isn’t always a great thing for some teachers.  In truth, I was never encouraged to write until one of my middle school English teachers entered some of my work into a writing contest.  From there life gets in the way, and I did all of the so called sensible things.  I obtained a degree in Psychology, and worked in the mental health field for many years.  I wrote a couple of short stories, one of which I submitted to Evernight Publishing last year, and it was accepted for their BDSM anthology, Master Of Mine.  From there I’ve been writing, writing, and writing some more!

Q. Eternal is the last in a series, right?

Yes, that is correct.  Enchanted is book 1.  Requiem is book 2.  Revelation is book 3, and Eternal is the final in The Heart Of Winter series.

Q. Why did you write this series?

When I sat down to write Winter’s story, it sort of flowed, and kept on flowing.  It started out as one very large book.  At the time of my submission, I would have been way over the word count accepted, so it became a 4-book continuing series.  I guess I never started The Heart Of Winter as a series, it just sort of turned into one. *Smiles*

Q. Tell us about your cover.

Oh, I love my cover.  In fact, all of the covers have been great.  Dara England designed the first three book covers, and Sour Cherry Designs created the cover for Eternal.  The cover tells a story all in itself.

It's a great cover, I agree!

Q. Describe a typical day’s writing for us.

LOL.  Typical? I’m not sure what that is.  I don’t really have any scheduled writing time.  It’s sort of write whenever I get a quiet moment.  I write quite a bit late at night, and keep going until early morning.  Other times, I steal a moment here and there.  I’d love to write on weekends, but life always has other plans for me it would seem.

That sounds so familiar, lol.

Q. What inspires you?

So many things inspire me.  I love to read, and I try to read as much as I can.  A great book inspires me.  Music (of all genres) inspires me.  I love art (in many different forms) so that inspires me.  Being some place beautiful inspires me. Movies, nature, and even people inspire me.

Q.If you weren’t a writer what would you be?

Cat Woman! *Giggles*  I’d love to wear that hot leather suit and sneak around on roof tops.

LOL! That has got to be the most original answer to that question I have ever had.

Q. Do your characters ever surprise you?

Yes.  Sometimes I think the story is going in one direction, and the characters have other ideas.

Q. What could you not do without when you’re writing?

Music.  Coca Cola.  Chocolate.

Q. What words of wisdom do you have for the aspiring authors out there?

Write what you love.  What you find inspiring.  Read as much as you can.  Find someone wonderful to bounce ideas off of.  Grow a thick skin, and don’t let negativity get you down.  Keep yourself in your work, and keep on writing until you feel you are ready to sub your work.

Great advice there.

Q. Where do you see yourself in ten year’s time?

On a windswept beach! LOL.  Truly, I imagine myself still writing.  Spending as much time as I can with friends and family, and enjoying my life no matter where it takes me.

Q. Do you have a favorite quote?

I have so many it is hard to narrow it down.  Let me think about it for a minute…

All right.  Here’s one of my favorites: “I love thee to the depth and breadth and height my soul can reach.”  Elizabeth Barrett Browning.

Q. Do you ever suffer from writer’s block?

I’m not sure it’s writer’s block more as it’s the brick wall! LOL.  That wall of time that keeps getting higher, and higher.  You know, where you only have so many hours of the day, and you can’t fit it all in.  I have many, many characters and stories running ramped in my head *Smiles* but the time to get them all out of my head is the problem.

Q. What other books can your readers look forward to?

Currently I do have a finished erotic novel.  The working title: La Bonne Soeur (The Good Sister) I just need the time to go over it, polish it, edit it, etc…  I’m also working on a BDSM story for the naughty fairy tale line through Evernight. And I’m in collaboration with another author, working on a sci-fi series.

Q. And finally can you share an excerpt with us?

Eternal Excerpt:
Wednesday evening had arrived, and I was standing on the balcony of my bedroom when it started to rain. I lifted my chin to the heavens, toward the dark night sky, and the cold drops hit my face, cheeks, lips, and hair. It didn’t take long before I was soaking wet. The ivory long sleeve shirt I wore was plastered to me, and my jeans were beginning to soak through, but I didn’t care. All I could think about was Cayden. How could I ever live without him?
“Winter!”
In the distance of my mind, I heard Cayden’s voice calling out to me.
“What are you doing?” he asked. “Winter. It’s too cold. You are going to get sick.” Cayden’s arms encased me. He pulled me from the rain, into the warmth of the bedroom. He let loose of me and almost sprinted into the bathroom. I saw him pull one of the large fluffy white towels from the cabinet. He turned with a sense of urgency, and immediately came back to me. “What are you thinking?” Once he reached me, he unbuttoned my shirt, peeled it from my wet skin, and threw the soaked garment to the floor. Cayden whipped the towel out. It made a snapping sound before he wrapped the dry warm towel around me. “Winter, baby?”
Cayden stared at me. The expression upon his face, one of pain. He rubbed my arms with his hands as if the friction would warm the coldness I felt in my heart. It hit me. I wasn’t speaking.
“Sorry,” I said.
“Love, what were you doing standing in the cold rain?” He glanced down at my feet. “And you don’t have on any shoes.”
“I don’t know. I was just thinking. I guess I stopped paying attention.”
“Take those wet jeans off, too,” he instructed before he headed back into the bathroom for another towel.
I shed the jeans and left them in a wet lump in the middle of the floor.
“I love you,” I said when he came back.
He threw a new towel over my hair and started to rub it dry. “I love you, too. Tell me what is wrong?”
I placed my face to his chest, burying away my pain and taking in the scent of him. “Nothing is wrong.”
“Winter, tell me,” he pressed.
“Nothing, it’s nothing. I go a little crazy when you’re gone, but you are home now. We are together. That’s all that matters.”
“I have missed you,” he said. Cayden’s arms circled my waist and he picked me up from the floor. My feet dangled. “Do you know how much I hate to be away from you?”
“I know how much I hate being away from you.”
The towels fell to the carpet when I draped my arms around his strong neck and my legs around his perfectly tight waist, hooking my ankles behind his back. Cayden laughed his low musical laugh and brushed his nose into my hair. “I love how your hair smells. It’s like flowers and fruit, peaches.”
“I have missed you so much, Cayden.” I kissed him. It was a long time before I released him from my kiss.
Cayden’s eyes, silver-gray, flashed. “I think maybe you did miss me. But never bet it is as much as I have missed you,” he assured with his brilliant bright white smile.
I shivered. Whether from his eyes, words or touch I do not know, but probably from the combination of all of them.
“Cayden, make love to me.”
“You’re still cold,” he said. “Come on.” He carried me into the bathroom.
“I don’t care how cold I am. Please, make love to me.”
Cayden put me down. My bare feet felt the cool tiles beneath them. Cayden walked over to the stereo. He pulled back the glass wall panel and turned it on. He bent down, took off his black Adidas, and stripped off his socks. He placed them inside his shoes. With an underhanded toss, he threw the shoes out the bathroom door. They made a dull thud on the carpet in the other room when they landed.
There I stood. In the middle of the bathroom in my bra and panties, my hair tangled and wet, goose bumps covering my skin, mascara running down my cheeks, and probably looking pathetic, but I could not keep my eyes from Cayden. He turned on the steam and hot water in the shower. Placed his hands under the stream of water that was shooting down from overhead. He turned around, smiled tenderly, and closed the glass doors. The water hit the glass of the shower and mixed into the sound of the rain that pelted the roof. Everything melted into the music that played, becoming a symphony of rain.
“Please,” I said.
Cayden looked at me intently. He raked his penetrating gaze over my body. “I have every intention of making love to you, but I need to get you warm first.” His fingertips traced down my cheek, over the surface of my lips, down my throat then over my right shoulder. The warm water that was still on his hands trickled over the surface of my skin in every place he touched me. I trembled with his touch. Softly, he rubbed the mascara smudges from my cheeks.
“Cayden…,” I whispered.
“You are so utterly beautiful.” His lips skimmed over my shoulder, and his fingers made their way to the front of my bra. “I can't believe how beautiful you are.” With dexterous skill, he unhooked the golden clasp, sending my bra sliding down the surface of my skin until it hit the tiled floor at my feet.
“Cayden, I need you,” I murmured against his chest.
“Baby,” he whispered against my neck. “You have me. You know I’m yours.”
Throwing myself into him, I wrapped my arms around his neck; my mouth frantically searched for his lips. We kissed with an aching in my soul. I wanted every part of Cayden to touch me. Needed to feel the exquisite sensation of his warm skin upon mine. Desperation surged through me. My hands slid down his shirt. Gripped it. Ripped the buttons free and exposed his flesh. The buttons bounced and tapped across the tiled floor. One pinged off the glass of the shower door. My anxious fingers explored the length of his stomach until I came to his jeans. I unbuttoned them, allowing my right hand to drift lower. Cayden was fevered and firm inside my hand.
Cayden picked me up again, his lips eager against mine, his mouth moving with my mouth as his breath, warm in my mouth, found its place. Cayden’s tongue tangled deeply with mine. He never let loose of my body, shedding his jeans by stepping on the bottom edge of his right pant leg, yanking his legs free.
“Cayden,” I moaned. I stroked his manhood. “I need you so much.”
“God,” he groaned.
Cayden fondled my waist, outlining the top of my panties with his fingers. He brushed so lightly over the canvas of my skin that it sent shivers over my entire body. His hand rested for a moment on my hip before tucking fingers into the top of my waistband. Cayden grabbed the material firmly.
“Do it,” I said, placing my mouth to his.

Thanks so much for stopping by, London.

Lucky Seven

Faye Roberson tagged me in this fun little thing making the rounds on the writing circuit.

Here are the rules:

1. Go to page 77 of your current MS
2. Go to line 7
3. Copy down the next 7 lines – sentences or paragraphs – and post them as they’re written. No cheating.
4. Tag 7 other authors

Now my current MS isn't long enough yet, so these 7 lines are from my just submitted MS  Too Cold To Love, Book Two of The Giovanni Clan. This is unedited :-)

"Ok, let me have it then, what have I done?"
Elise took a deep breath and hissed the words," Don't you think a woman deserves to be asked before you take chances on impregnating her? And not just that... How dare you?"
Waves of righteous indignation poured off her, but that wasn't what froze Marco to the spot. It was the barely concealed desperation he sensed under those hasty words, designed to wound him.
"You don't need to worry about that Elise, and do you really think so little of me?"

And now I tag:

1. Raven McAllan
2. Cherie Nicholls
3. Jorja Lovett
4. Alyssa Fox
5. Arya Gray
6. Tory Michaels
7. Kiru Taye

No worries, if you don't want to participate. This is just a bit of fun :-)

Interview with Avril Ashton

A big Tardis Scribbles welcome to the deliciously wicked Avril Ashton with her new release Far From The Usual.

Great to have you here, Avril J

Q. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

Thank you for inviting me in, Doris. I’m a lover of cake and liquor, a reader and writer of smut, and a neglectful parent and spouse. Funny, but all of those blend together effortlessly to make me chock full of awesome!

Love that description of you!

Q. What made you write ‘this’ story?

Well, it popped into my head one day while doing dishes. Apparently, Arden (my heroine) had a thing for Cam (my hero), but refused to act on it as Cam is the twin brother of Arden’s ex. Of course that intrigued me, I’m nothing if not all about drama, so I sipped some iced coffee, turned on some baby-making music, and made those poor bastards suffer.

Q. Tell us about your cover.

It’s delish, right? That’s the incomparable Jimmy Thomas as Cam Mercer. I have to say, the woman looks exactly as I’d pictured Arden. I’m in love with the cover artists over at EP, I’d give my left nut to have one of their babies.

It is extremely delicious. Evernight's cover artists do an amazing job!

Q. Describe a typical day’s writing for you.

If it’s Monday thru Wednesday, writing happens after 7am, that’s when I cart the kid off to school. Or at least, that’s when the bus picks her up. I write until midday. By then I’ve either written my quota of 2k or a full chapter. I may or may not go back to it after the kid and Mr. A are put to bed. If I do, I write till midnight. On Thursday and Saturday, I will write in the mornings, but I also go to the day job and I write there for eight hours until it’s time to go home. Fridays and Sundays are chill days, no writing gets done.

Q. What inspires you?

  Music. Books. People. Anything. Everything.

Q. If you weren’t a writer what would you be?

An editor/agent. Either way, I’d be mired in the writing world in some way, in some fashion.

Q.Do your characters ever surprise you?

Ha, all the damn time. I write off the cuff, straight pantsing so I have no idea of what’s coming until it arrives.

Lol, so know that feeling!

Q. What could you not do without when you’re writing?

Music and an iced caramel latte from Dunkin Donuts.

Q.What words of wisdom do you have for the aspiring authors out there?

Read. Research. Write.

Q.Where do you see yourself in ten year’s time?

Writing. Making Mr. A miserable by continuing to eat him out of house and home.

Q. Do you have a favourite quote?

Yep. Gloria Steinem had it right when she said, “Writing is the only thing I do, that when I do it, I don’t feel like I should be doing something else.”

Great Quote!

Q. Do you ever suffer from writer’s block?

Not often, but I do. At such times, I remove myself from the project and indulge in reading other authors’ works and listening to music. Always helps.

Q. What other books can your readers look forward to?

Make Me Burn, Wes and Jayce’s story from Make Me Sweat, is slated for release March 28. It’s bk#2 in my Bringing the Heat series with Evernight. Till Surrender, Paranormal Security Council series bk#2, comes out May 7 from Total E Bound. It’s MM para/fantasy. I’m also waiting on a release date for Love the Sinner, my recently contracted MM with Ellora’s Cave. While I wait I’m working on the final installment in my The Wicked series with eXtasy Books and bk#3 in the Bringing the Heat series for EP. Busy lil bee, das me ;-)

Q. And finally can you share an excerpt with us?

 Hell, yes!

BLURB

Still, Cam’s touch is unlike anything she’s ever felt and Arden finds herself having to choose between her wants and her needs.
Cameron Mercer is his family’s black sheep, a man apart. For six months he watched Arden waste her time with his twin and now she’s free, he’s not waiting another minute. He’s on a campaign to get her off the tight rope she’s been walking. There’s a rebel behind that smooth façade and he’s on a mission to set Arden free. Too bad she insists on putting up a fight.

“All done, Mr. Mercer?”
“Yeah, you’re good to go.” He held her gaze, heating her skin under all that ice as he quoted his price.
“Great.” She broke eye contact and fumbled with her purse. “I assume cash is acceptable?” At his curt nod she counted out the appropriate amount plus a nice tip and handed it over. “Thank you for your prompt service.”
He stared at her then flipped his gaze to the money in her hand and backed away without taking it.
“What the hell?” Arden scrambled out of the car, cursing those damned heels as they sank into the soft ground. Rain pelted her in the face as she yelled after Cam. “What the fuck is your problem?”
He ignored her and she kicked off her heels and raced after him. Grabbing his arm, she tugged.
“What the hell is your problem with me, Mr. Mercer?” She brushed wet hair from her eyes and glared up at him. “Did I kill your puppy or something?”
He shrugged and her gaze darted to those shoulders.
Briefly.
“I don’t like you,” he said.
What? Arden gaped up at him. She would never cop to how her chest felt like he’d sliced her open. “Everybody likes me.”
He laughed in her face. “You’re a spoiled, entitled rich kid.”
Where the hell did he get off? “You don’t know me.” She poked him in the chest. “You don’t know shit about me, so you have no right to judge me.”
Water dripped from his hood and down his chin. “My brother knew, right? And it seems he had enough of you.”
“Motherfucker!” She lifted her hand to punch him in the freaking nose, but Cam grabbed her wrists. She fought him, kicking at his shins.
“Get your hands off me, you son of a bitch.”
He lifted her off her feet and brought her down on the hood of his truck. Arden struggled as he grabbed her nape and brought their heads close.
“Does daddy know how dirty his little girl’s mouth is?” His lips brushed her ear and Arden shivered.
Damn. She struggled harder but his vice grip held her immobile. Rain poured, wetting her tight white dress, molding it to her skin.
“Did my brother get any of those dirty words or are they all for me?” His fingers at her nape tightened. His bulky frame covered her vision and Arden inhaled his scent of clean soap and anger. Her nipples beaded.
She tried sliding out from under his hold, but only succeeded in sprawling backward on the truck’s wet hood. Lifting her hands, she clutched his arms.
“Cam.” She heard the whimper in her voice, but rejected it. She didn’t whimper.
He lifted his head, met her eyes, and her tremors started. His fingers at her nape flexed. The coolness in his eyes bled away, leaving only heat. Leaving only flames.
“No.” She shook her head. It wasn’t right, but her cunt was all slippery. He didn’t like her, but she tightened her grip on his forearm. “You don’t like me.”
His lips curved, his hold on her slackened and Arden scrambled away, nearly falling to the ground in her attempt to get away.
Cam grabbed her hand, yanked her into his chest.
Arden held her breath to avoid breathing in his musk.
“I don’t have to like you to want you, Princess.”
She was burning up, melting, but Arden gathered her strength and pushed at his chest. “I don’t like you, either, Mr. Mercer. Nor do I want you.” Oh, God. She couldn’t even convince herself.
He chuckled, blue eyes flashing. “Liar. I’ve seen it in your eyes, Princess. You think I don’t know you’ve been avoiding me?”
“Shut up! Shut up!” She squeezed her eyes shut, panting. He knew. God.  She should leave, walk away, but there was a strange buzzing in her ear, her heart thudded in her chest, and her pussy was all kinds of hungry.
Wet fingers grazed her cheek, cupped her jaw. His hot breath fanned across her face. Arden forced herself not to inhale, not to move, not to moan. Soft, firm lips brushed against hers, feather light. Barely there. She sucked in a breath, reached for him, but he’d already moved back.
Away from her.
His gaze was hard, inscrutable. “If you want it then I’ve got it, Princess.”
She swallowed, coughed. “No.” Arden shook her head, the lie burning her tongue. “I don’t want it.” She straightened her wet dress and turned her back, walking back to her car.
Cam raced after her. “I’m not alone in this attraction, Princess. You can’t hide from it and me forever.”
She heard the words but chose to ignore them. He had no idea what the hell he was saying. This wasn’t an attraction, merely a lack in judgment. Arden bent over, digging out her heels from under a pile of mud with a grimace. “I have to go.”
He grabbed her arm. “The road is blocked because of an accident. No one is coming down this way, you’ll have to take the long way home.”
She stared down at his hand on her arm. “I should thank you, I guess. Right now, I just need to get dry. And drunk.”
He narrowed his eyes. “What are you trying to forget?”
“A lot.”

Great stuff Avril J
