Q Can
you tell us a bit about yourself?
A. I am a former children’s librarian,
professional storyteller, and puppeteer.
I am the author of Kidstuff,
an award-winning educational newsletter and Puppets,
Poems and Songs, a language arts resource for early childhood
educators. I have been writing all my
life, starting with a little play called “Fairies in the Garden”, which
featured dialogue, music, and ballet. I
was nine. I have written four books for
Siren Publishers, Dark Warrior, an
historical MFM Menage set in 14th-century England, and three
contemporary, M/f/M BDSM romances, Loving
Sarah, Owning Sarah, and now Keeping
Sarah, the third and final book about Sarah Marshall, Jesse Colter, and
Adam Sinclair.
Q. What
made you write ‘this’ story?
A. After I wrote Loving Sarah and
Owning Sarah, I realized that I still
had more of Jesse, Adam and Sarah’s story to tell. I felt that the deepening love between Jesse
and Adam needed to be explored further.
So I planned a short novella as sort of an addendum to Loving and Owning Sarah. But this is
Jesse Colter and Adam Sinclair we’re talking about and nothing comes easy for
them. So, their personal love story
became enmeshed with an Albanian blood feud, attempted murder, a sex slave
auction, betrayal and intrigue that turned a brief novella into the full-length
thrill ride that is Keeping Sarah.
Q. Describe
a typical day’s writing for you
A. I write sporadically, but steadily while
I’m awake, be that in the daytime or at night.
When I’m inspired, I go at it for hours.
When I’m stuck, I can find plenty of distractions and have to force my
butt into the seat. So, I really don’t
have a routine. Since I’m retired, I
don’t keep regular office-type hours and often intersperse my writing with
several short naps rather than sleeping for eight hours.
Q. What
inspires you?
A. Everything I’ve seen, everything I’ve
done, everything I’ve heard, every place I’ve ever been, everything I’ve ever
dreamed.
Q. If
you weren’t a writer what would you be?
A. Bored.
Q. Do
your characters ever surprise you?
A. Originally, Loving Sarah started out as a straight M/f romance. But when Jesse introduced his best friend,
Adam Sinclair, it became an M/f/M romance with BDSM elements. Actually, it became TWO M/f/M romances with
BDSM elements, and a third, MMF romance with even more BDSM elements. So, yeah, you could say my characters are
full of surprises.

could you not do without when you’re writing?
A. Pie.

words of wisdom do you have for the aspiring authors out there?
A. Just put your butt in the chair and
write.
Q. Where
do you see yourself in ten year’s time?
A. Owning my own tropical island, plus a
penthouse apartment in New York and an antebellum southern mansion in Atlanta,
GA. I will have multiple books on the
New York Times and USA Today Bestseller lists and I will be on the cover of
Forbes magazine as the wealthiest woman in the world, even wealthier than Oprah
Winfrey. I will also be forty years
younger and have a bevy of hunky boy toys to keep me satisfied. [Sigh]
It’s nice to have dreams, isn’t it?

you have a favourite quote?
A. You go, girl.
Q. Do
you ever suffer from writer’s block?
A. Of course.
There’s not a writer on the planet that doesn’t.
Q. What
other books can your readers look forward to?
A. Oh, I am so glad you asked! I am halfway through Passion’s Dream, the first in the new Passion Lake series about a
bunch of former SEALs who buy a bankrupt town and turn it into a tourist
destination. Be on the lookout for the
first three books of the series by the beginning of 2015.
