HASTE YE BACK is
my third work with Decadent Publishing. This 1NightStand story is number
four of six with overlapping characters that fellow-DPer, Deanna Wadsworth and I are
penning. So, if you've been keeping score on that front, although the stories
stand alone in their own right, Deanna's BEAR
IT ALL started the half-dozen, followed by my THE
ONE HE CHOSE. You'll be able to read her Accidentally Beautiful soon,
to be followed by Haste Ye Back. You're going to have to wait a bit to
find out what the last two titles are (because we don't even know them
yet!)
Loch Lomond

Well,
the story pretty much wrote itself in all of five minutes as I sat on a log
along Loch Lomond in July 2007. I was in Scotland to visit a pen pal of thirty
some years. The title, however, was my friend's mum's dinner toast one night.
(It must be some cultural thing--three hours of dinner at your host's home
before you're 'qualified' to visit their neighborhood pub!)
And although a stunning country, for some reason I didn't see the young
man in the photo to the left anywhere during my time there. What's up
with that?
Just thinking about men in kilts makes me
thirsty for a return trip--complete with a fine Scottish meal of haggis, neeps
and tatties, accompanied by some Famous Grouse. Or some tasty fish and chips
with an ice cold Irn-Bru! (For the record, I LOVE haggis!)
