Flash Fiction Friday - The Anniversary #FFF

Enjoy this Friday's flash - The Anniversary

Eyes closed, she took a moment to compose herself, like she always did. No one else would know how much this would cost her. How her heart was breaking with tears she could not shed. Her world had shattered in half, but the show had to go on.
Dancing was all that was left now of her former life, her dreams and hopes in tatters with the sound of the earth falling on their coffins.

The stage manager's call shook her out of her reverie. It might have been five years ago since that sound, but she'd never forget.

Friday Flashers have 100 words to tell a story from the provided picture prompt. Do check out the other flashers. You won't be disappointed. :-)
Till next week, folks.
