Look! A Writing Challenge

I was tagged in this fun little writing challenge by Gayl Taylor, and as I can never resist a challenge here's my contribution.

The Rules are:

Find the word LOOK in one of your current Wips, and then post the three paragraphs surrounding it. Post your favourite three, because you need to post three, and then tag five other authors.

I am tagging Jorja Lovett, Cherie Nicholls, J Lilley, Alexandra O'Hurley, Elizabeth Morgan

Have fun with it ladies, if you want to join in, no pressure :-)

Here are my paragraphs, taken from Masks Of A Tiger (Book three of Club Ink), which is awaiting its fate from the powers that be. Hopefully Evernight will like it as much as I do. I'm not in box stalking - much...

(EDITED to say)

I have just signed a contract for this! Masks Of A Tiger is projected for release in November!!

Paragraph #1

Neeve pushed open the door to the kitchen and breathed a sigh of relief. The cozy space was empty. Finally. Her wrist hurt like hell, now that the immediate rush had worn off. Here, she would be able to have a look at it without alerting the watch dogs. Her stomach clenched as she recalled the tall, black man with the white hair, whose gaze had scorched her skin across the crowded marquee much more effectively than any flame could have done. The man knew how to wear a tux. His broad shoulders strained the expensive cloth and she couldn't tear her eyes away from his large hands as they loosened his tie and unbuttoned the first few buttons of his dress shirt. The whiteness of the shirt was such a startling contrast to the color of his skin, and his dark eyes had held her in trance. She'd stood frozen to the spot, mortified that he may have witnessed her episode. Disapproval had been written all over his ebony features and when he'd finally raised his eyes to hers they'd held an unspoken challenge.

Paragraph #2

"Look at me, sweetheart."
The growly whisper was impossible to ignore. She forced her gaze upwards, and the grim determination on Grisha's face took her breath away.
"Who hurt you, Neeve? Give me the name of the fucking bastard and I'll tear him limb from limb."

Paragraph #3

She gave him an uncertain smile and he spread his arms out. She scooted into his embrace. Without her heels she fitted perfectly under his chin and he rested his head on hers and pulled her close.
"You were gone so long I was beginning to worry you'd fallen down the loo or something."
Grisha sighed and she tensed in his arms.
"Hardly, sweetheart. I just … look, you must be sore, let me run you a bath. I was rather hard on you for your first time in a scene."
To his surprise she snuggled closer into him and kissed his chest.
"Don’t you start that crap again, Mr. A bath would be wonderful, but only if you join me. That bathtub looks easily big enough for three."

Hope you enjoyed my Look paragraphs :-)
