Neeve doesn't understand why any normal person would choose to wear a collar, like a common house pet. So, the collaring ceremony of her best friend's sister in law is the last place she wants to be, even if the hot men watching her send her insides aflame.
Never one for missing the opportunity to teach a bratty sub manners, Grisha intends to show the fiery little redhead the error of her ways. He doesn't expect to see her drawn to the flame like the proverbial moth. When she hurts herself in ways that even a Dom of his experience finds hard to witness, he knows he needs to help her.
Will their sexual chemistry be enough to chase away their demons and burn away their masks? Or is the submission Grisha demands too much for Neeve to accept?

Now for your six:
In this scene, Grisha has taken care of Neeve's injury and he is trying his best to get Neeve to admit what she did to herself.
He licked a path up her inner arm,
leaving the most delicious tingles in its wake, and Neeve could almost forget
who this man was and what he stood for. When he finally raised his head and
looked at her, Neeve struggled to draw breath into her lungs.
"Why do you feel the need to
mutilate this beautiful skin, sweetheart?"
"I … you wouldn't understand, and it's none of your business."
He raised an eyebrow and smiled—a
slow, sexy as sin, I-can-see-straight-through-your-bullshit-smile—that
broke through every one of Neeve's carefully constructed layers of witty
comeback, years of pretense, and cut right into the pain she carried with her,
lest she ever forget what happened.
"Trust me."

What do you think, will she trust him?
Until next week, folks. Have a great Sunday!
It can't be so easy, at least not yet. He will have to do more to win her trust. This is fantastic! I can't wait to see what happens. Very SEXY!
ReplyDeleteThanks, and you're quite right of course. It does indeed take her a while yet :-)
DeleteYes! Yes, she should trust him. Grisha is wonderful and deserves his HEA.

DeleteWell he can't treat her any worse than she is treating herself, so yes! Well described.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting, and indeed, Grisha certainly wouldn't.
DeleteI think she'll see him as another way to hurt herself intially - until he changes her mind... Nice extract.
ReplyDeleteThanks :-)
DeleteMaybe she can't trust him....yet of course. But, boy oh boy, licking up her inner arm. I'd fall...
ReplyDeleteShe'll put up a fight, but he's persistent ;-)
DeleteHmmm I'm sure she'll trust him soon enough. I loved the blurb too. Great six!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by :-)
DeleteFantastic Six, Doris! Both sexy and highly emotional. She'll have to trust him eventually, no? ;-)
