How do you dress? Guest blog by Casey Sheridan

Today I welcome Casey Sheridan to my blog with her new release, Number 69. She is talking about the way we dress and what it says about us.

*glances down at her current Pjs and giggles*

Over to you Casey :-)

How do you dress?

Trudy shrugged nonchalantly. "You know what it means. You wear long, billowy skirts or polyester pants and shirts buttoned up to your chin. Just because you work in a library doesn't mean you have to look like my great-aunt Gertrude."
Melodie gasped. "What? I do not look like your great-aunt?"
Trudy laughed and reclined in her chair. "Oh please! You're getting there, Melodie. Right down to the cotton granny panties, antique-looking support bra, and orthopedic shoes. You even wear your in a bun.!" From Number 69 by Casey Sheridan.

Melodie Kane, in Number 69, is a librarian and she obviously dresses conservatively. I'm not saying all librarians dress in a conservative manner. I'm sure some dress fairly cool, hot, hip, whatever. And I'm not saying Melodie dresses the way she does because she's a librarian. She's conservative because that's the way she is. She loosens up, though, after a shopping trip with a friend.

While she filed her stack of books, she had to admit she loved the feel of the clothes she'd bought a couple of weeks ago with Trudy, all the silk, satin, linen, and not to mention the new lovely, floral perfume. Then there were the panties and bras. It took a little time to get used to the idea of wearing such delicate and lacy underwear, yet Trudy was right about feeling sexy. Of course, wearing a thong was a different matter altogether. Having a strip of fabric between one's ass cheeks was like a perpetual wedgie, but she was getting used to it. – from Number 69

I have to agree with that last quote regarding the thong. LOL! The first time I wore one (many moons ago), it felt just plain weird – like a perpetual wedgie.
I have to dress pretty straight-laced for my day job, but I do like to wear pretty , lacy, feminine things underneath.
Tell me….do you dress like a wild child? A school marm? Or are you more like me – respectable on the outside, but naughty underneath?

A matchmaking party was not Melodie’s idea of fun, and wearing vibrating panties was just plain weird. Or was it?

Should she go to the party? After all, she just might meet Mr. Right. And if he doesn’t show, she has the vibrating panties to keep things interesting.

Fab post, Casey, thanks for stopping by on your tour. For the record. I'm a jeans and t-shirt's kinda girl, always have been, always will be. However, I do like to wear sexy things underneath. Hubby has a bit of a thing about supplying me with lingerie. Win win situation if you get my drift.

All that remains is my review for Number 69...

I knew I wanted to read this, from the minute I read the blurb. Think it was the vibrating panties that snagged my attention. Such a fun idea.

And that's the way I would describe this book. A fun read. I immediately liked the heroine and I wanted her to get her happy ever after. Casey did a good job of keeping the reader wondering who the hero was. I had a few... surely not?... moments whilst reading it and for quite a short read, there were some great twists. I read this in one sitting, whilst feeding the baby, who fell asleep, and I just sat there, because I had to finish the book.

Great humour, hot sex, and a truly original concept. Well worth a read :-)

  2. er you need to ask doris how i dress *giggle*
    NO not like THAT.
I refuse to grown old gracefully, so i've got a tattoo, ( hidden tho, due to DH job and my before the authoring day job) wear an ankle chain, and either hit the aged hippy look, jeans-and-a- T , or skirts that( hell do I care?) show my knees.

Got to read this book! Thanks for sharing!

  4. I'm normally a jeans and tee shirt girl, but I love the opportunities I get to wear dresses. Probably because I adore the sexy high heels that go with it. ;)

  5. Opps sorry I came naked..LOL...

My fashion is jeans and tee shirts or a hoodie, short or long sleeve. I get girly when needed but do love my jeans.
