Meet the Author/Interview with a Character Blog Hop #winfreebooks #AmazonGC

Happy Monday all and welcome to my corner of the Meet the Author/ Interview with Character blog hop.
Those of you who know me, will have often heard me say that I have very demanding heroes. Well, the hero of my latest release, Elliot, is no exception to this rule.
When he heard about this hop, he told me in no uncertain terms that he would interview me.
Yeeesss, well I wasn't going to argue with him. He's a Man-Droid you see, a sentient, self-evolving, feeling Man-Droid, no less, with a body made to withstand hurricane forces. He's also over six feet tall, sex-on-legs-drool worthy, if I might say so myself, and utterly devoted to his heroine.
Anyway, I digress, and he's giving me his stare, so here's the interview.
****
Elliot:
Now that I have you where I want you, Doris, answer me this. Why on earth did you decide to torture me with this bouncing cock with a mind of its own? I'm an Orgasmatron, and I'm supposed to be able to be in control of this.
Doris:
I try very hard not to smirk, but you know those internal rants he had about this were some of the most fun things to write. Call me evil. *sniggers*
Well, you wanted to be as human as you could possibly be, so don't blame me. I have it on good authority that human males have great difficulty controlling that body part, so…
I shrug my shoulders and try to adopt an innocent air.
Elliot:
Don't even go there, Doris. We've seen what you write, and I've been in your head, remember. Nothing innocent about you.
He laughs and raises an eyebrow at me, when I can't stop giggling.
Doris:
Yes, well, one could argue that you're responsible for what's in my head, as you're dictating the story, Elliot, so I maintain I'm innocent. Lord knows I try arguing with you blasted characters enough, and do you ever listen. Well, do you?
I do my best to glare at him, which is difficult, because he looks utterly adorable with that slightly sheepish look. Of course it doesn't last long.
Elliot:
Of course we don’t listen. Why would we? They're our stories you're telling. Your duty as an author is to simply tell those stories to the best of your ability, is it not?
I have to concede he has a point, and I mumble under my breath.
Pardon, my dear? I didn't quite catch that. And besides, have we ever steered you wrong?
Doris:
No, you haven't. Alright, you win. You're still blooming annoying though when you won't leave me alone and don't blame me when your grand ideas go haywire. After all this trying to be human business got you killed in the end.
Elliot winces and I feel a little sorry for him.
Elliot:
That was not my finest moment, I grant you. I deeply regret the pain that caused Beth. It was the only way to keep her safe however.
Doris:
This is true, but we better talk about something else, because you don't want to give too much away, do you Elliot.
He shakes his head and smiles. Now I tell you that smile alone makes you want to drop your knickers, as Beth found out to her cost in this story.
Elliot:
What's so amusing, Doris? You're grinning away to yourself there, like the cat that got the cream.
Oh dear, busted.
Doris:
Oh, nothing, I was just thinking that you lived up to your name in this story. You're being an Orgasmatron and all…
Elliot:
Naturally, I'm a great believer in being of service to beautiful women, and Beth was so sad inside, I had to cheer her up in the only way that I know how. Falling in love with her was an unexpected bonus. But enough about me, this interview is supposed to be about you. So, tell me, why do you write?
Doris:
Because I can't not write. I've always had these stories in my head, for as long as I can remember. Once I actually started to write them down, there was no stopping me. My muse bombards me with ideas all the time. Actually managing to fit them all into my busy life as a wife and mother is another matter. Still, I don't think I'm doing too badly, mainly thanks to characters like you, Elliot, who will simply not stop shouting at me, until I've written their story.
I grin at him and he smiles back and gives me an exaggerated bow.
Elliot:
Like I said being of service to beautiful women is my specialty.
Charmer!
On that subject, do you find it difficult writing those sex scenes?
Doris:
Elliot! I should counter that with don't you mind me being a voyeur to those activities?
Elliot:
Touché. You didn't set out to become an Erotic writer though, did you?
Doris:
I laugh and roll my eyes.
No, I certainly didn't but you blooming characters just can't stop jumping each other, can you.
Elliot:
Well, why would we? Sex is an important part of any relationship, and when you first meet someone, it's only natural that you can't keep your hands off that person. I'd wager you still ought to do that, regardless of how long you've been together. Surely, you agree, Doris? You have nine children, after all, the youngest of which is only two, and you've been married twenty four years, right?
I nod and his smile grows sin itself.
One doesn't need a Man-Droid's advanced logical powers to deduce that you two still have problems keeping your hands off each other. Am I right?
Doris:
You know, you're right. It would be a sorry state of affairs if we didn't. There are definite perks to writing and reading Erotic Romance, and my husband would be the first to agree. That's also the only information on that subject you're going to get out of me, Elliot, so stop digging.
He laughs and I barely resist the urge to stick my tongue out at him.
Elliot:
Okay then, some fun questions to finish on. What's on your bucket list?
Doris:
Hmm, several things I will not admit to you, because Hubby would kill me, lol. I'm afraid of heights, so this might prove impossible, but I'd love to jump out of an aeroplane at some point. CODE word: Tardis
Tour the US, visit New Zealand and Australia, snorkel in a coral reef.
The usual stuff, really, and of course have that all elusive mega bestselling book, that means we never have to worry about money again.
Oh look, there is that formation of pigs flying backwards again.
He frowns at me, bless him.
Elliot:
Never say never and all that, Doris. Tell me something really quirky about you that no one else knows.
Doris:
Hmm, I don't know about quirky, but I'm very much an introvert, who craves peace and quiet. Comes from being an only child I guess, and yes, I know, it's beyond ironic that I ended up having nine children, and peace and quiet never exists in this house. Even when they're asleep they talk in their sleep! Still, I love them all dearly, and wouldn't want to be without my big brood.
We live in a tiny bungalow that we call the Tardis, because it's much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside, and oh I know.
This is definitely odd…
I'm German, yet cannot speak a word of the language anymore after having been in the UK for the last twenty six years. I can understand it, read it, etc. but actually speak it…
I'm told I sound like an English person with pigeon German, which is rather amusing, because I still haven't entirely lost my German accent.
Elliot:
Now that is amusing. Say something for me in German. I need to test that theory.
Doris:
Not on your nelly.
I stick my tongue out at him and the interview is over.

If you like the sound of Elliot's story, here's the blurb:

[Siren Classic: Erotic Futuristic Sci-Fi Romance, light bondage, spanking, HEA]

The plan had been simple. Sign up for the sex android trial, so that she had a doting boyfriend to present at the dreaded school reunion.

It was just her luck that Bethany Devlin had to get the one man-droid with an emotion chip. Unable to resist Elliot's charms, she finds in him the only partner she can truly submit to. If only he was real and not just an illusion.

Elliot Parsons has a hard time coming to terms with the fact that he has emotions. Orgasmatrons are programmed to fulfill their partner's every sexual fantasy, but Beth proves to be so much more than just another program to run through. He needs her submission like the very air he pretends to breathe, and he will do anything to keep her safe.

Deciding what is love and what is lust proves nigh on impossible when the government interferes. Time is running out…
