Flash Fiction Friday - Darkness #FFF

Happy Friday, folks. Today's picture inspired a rather dark flash. Enjoy, I hope...

The bright colors seared her skin, and Anastasia sneered.  Such frivolity to hide the true darkness of this place. Her senses screamed at her to hurry. The place was almost deserted, and if she wanted to get Eliza out of there, now was the best time. An overweight and already inebriated customer swung out of a doorway and made a grab for her. His putrid breath wafted across her face as he leant in close.
“Hey there, sweetheart… how much… umph.”
His heavy bulk fell to the floor in a pool of blood and Anastasia sheathed her claws.

One down…

  4. Oh, my! Anastasia. Temper, temper. LOL I love this - shifter in true form. You kept me in Anastasia's head the whole way. I felt what she felt, and when she exacted her penalty, satisfaction.
