#TantalizingTuesdays - Busted

Okay, I dare you to not go awe at today's pic. I know I did, when I saw it on Pinterest, and I knew I had to write a flash for it. It could almost have been taken straight from my life. There have been plenty of occasion over our nine kids that I caught my husband having similar  moments with our babies. Enjoy!

Alyssa turned over and froze. Where was he? Blood rushed in her ears and her mind conjured up all sorts of horrible scenarios. He never slept this long, unless he was next to her, and he wasn’t, so where….
Flinging the covers back, the blood froze in her veins, half expecting to find her newborn son under them, and then she heard them. The soft coos interspersed with the deep soothing tones of her husband. Relief flooded her and the room spun as she sank back down on the bed, and took a deep breath in. Silently, so as not to disturb them she padded out on the landing, and there, on the window seat in their hall way, sat Mark, cradling their son on his strong legs.
“Did I ever tell you how I met your mummy? No? Well, let me tell you, I knew from the minute I saw her that she was going to be mine. Mummy had other ideas, but, you know, son, if you want something badly enough, you just have to go after it, until you get it. Your mummy being a point in question.”
Mark looked up at her grinned.
“Ah, we’re busted.”

  5. What a sweet tease. I loved hearing my husband babble at our daughter. Sadly, I missed a bunch of it because I was working while he took parental leave. Cherish the moments.

  6. This was an "awwwwww" moment and touching tease. I loved it. Beautifully written and a real reflection of a human moment. We love our men, but we love what our children bring out in them even more. xo
