He heard the giggles halfway up
the corridor, and Lucas couldn’t suppress his own grin as he shouldered the
door open. A pillow missed his head by a smidgen, and the breakfast tray in his
hands wobbled precariously, as he instinctively ducked out of the way.
Another cushion fell on the
floor, and his unruly subs froze.
Lucas put the tray down and hid
his smile at their identical guilty expressions.
“Nice to see I was missed,” he
said.
Janine squealed and threw herself
into his arms. Catching her easily, he looked over her head at Trev.
“Welcome home, Sir.”
