So, without further ado, here's mine.
Enjoy my Valentine Surprise...
"Ready?"
His large warm hand closed around hers and Sara took strength from the simple
contact. Tingles of awareness raced over her skin, and she closed her eyes and
took a deep breath. He pulled her close and she buried her head into his shoulder.
"You're
shaking like a leaf, sweetheart. It's Valentine's Day, we ought to be
celebrating."
She
blinked the tears away, and nodded, not trusting her voice at all. Stood on the
pavement, in full view of her parent's house, it was only a matter of time,
before her father would spot them. She could hear him now, berating her like he
always did after Sam's visits.
"Do
you have to make such a spectacle of yourself with that … that boy. It's
bad enough I have to put up with him, you don't have to flaunt the fact that
you're slumming it."
Sam
tipped her head up, and she lost herself in the tender expression of his
beautiful charcoal eyes.
"He
needs to know about..." Her voice trembled and Sam brushed a kiss across
her lips, and his hand settled on her barely visible bump, just as the front door
flew open.
"What
in God's name…"
