Feet
pounding the sand in tune to the music in her ears, head down, Diana almost
collided with the statue that seemed to have appeared from nowhere. She managed
to side step it at the last minute, and she shrieked when the statue
moved.
The
man raised his head and smiled at her, and Diana’s world shifted on its axis.
It couldn’t be. He was dead and buried, wasn’t he… and were those wings? Gabe spread his feathers, and held out his
hand.
“What
the fu—“
She
swallowed her curse. One simply didn’t swear in front of an angel.
